Good Friday: The Way of the Cross
We followed the Stations of the Cross in a spiritual pilgrimage through the last moments of Jesus Christ’s earthly life. Artwork for each station emphasized each significant event that Jesus experienced on His way to crucifixion, inviting us to reflect on His suffering, love, and sacrifice.
The worship liturgy focused on each of nine stations, each separated with the message conveyed, a prayer, followed by the Trisagion “Holy God, Holy and Mighty, Holy Immortal One, have mercy upon us.” Trisagion was used because it unites us with the millions of believers who preceded us in faith by vocalizing it the same way they did. An organ interlude was followed by singing a verse from a related hymn before continuing to the next station.

Personality in Every Note
All in attendance and those online expressed that they were delighted with the concert held at Grace Lutheran Church in West Carrollton last Saturday, March 29. The concert included a wide range of musical expressions from opera to the sacred, to show tunes and more.
All local talent was led by vocalist Kylene Griffith Terhune with arrangements from Aaron and Samee Griffith Mood of Star City Music Studios.
Also featured were Kylene’s talented friends Stephanie Liacuna (harp), Evvy Mood (violin), and vocalists Caitlin Coulson Pfeiffer, Christin Coffee Rondeau, and Kylene’s husband Patrick Terhune, baritone. Concert Link

The prayer room (old library) will be available for prayer needs immediately after the Sunday service. Don Stamm will be there to pray with anyone who needs prayer for family, healing, direction or any personal needs. Please be encouraged to take advantage of this important ministry.
7:00 pm. Everyone from Grace was welcomed to join in.

Fellowship is essential part of who we are at Grace!
As a “family size” church, our weekly fellowship lunch is a strength of our congregation. During this time, we not only break bread together, but we also get to know one another on a deeper level as we listen to one another’s stories, joys, needs, concerns, and even share a few jokes. In doing so, we, “bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2)
In case you were wondering, the average number of attendees at one of our fellowship lunches is about 60 people. If you would like to get involved in this ministry either through your financial support, by providing a meal, by volunteering for set up or clean up, or even by suggesting a creative way to keep this ministry going, contact Linda Hooghe at connections@gracelutheranwc.org.
Grace Lutheran Church will be celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2026, serving West Carrollton and the surrounding communities. We are looking for volunteers to help plan a variety of activities to recognize this special event. After the second planning meeting we now continue as teams for brainstorming sessions to identify ideas for worship, fellowship, learning, and remembering events. Watch for further announcements on how you can be a part of this momentous celebration. Contact Deb Ross or Pastor Phil for more details.
